It drives my husband crazy that I still use my maiden name for anything but business.
Even a hyphenated version doesn’t really fly.
I try to be thoughtful about which name I use in any given situation,
but it’s still a sticky subject.
To try to make up for this and many other things,
(I don’t really cook, and don’t do the laundry
until the only other option is to buy new clothes),
I dedicate this post to him!
Of course there is the whole “Men are from Mars” thing,
but just when I think that he has no idea what I’m talking about,
or even who I am, he will say something so profound and on target,
that the world becomes whole again.
And so I dedicate this post to him.
He is a wonderful husband, who cooks dinner every night,
and breakfast for the boys most mornings.
He is smart, insightful, funny, over the top kind, loving,
understands the concept of “Yes Dear,”
helped me make two of the most amazing children to whom he is a fantastic father,
and is one of the most talented, gifted, inspired and inspiring photographers that I know.
So here’s to you Mr. Perno, with love, Mrs. Perno!
